JiaJie Deng – biography

Jiajie Deng was born in 1973, in Yangjiang. He now lives in Shenzhen and is a member of the national China Artists Association.

In 2013, he won the bronze medal at the 12th Guangdong Art Exhibition for his work The Deep Ancient Alleys and began a rise to national prominence in China.

His landscape oil paintings are now regularly selected for exhibition at National level.

2014

Quiet Afternoon was selected as an entrant work in the Guangdong Exhibition of Art Works for the celebration of the 65th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China. The work was also displayed in the 12th “National Art Exhibition of China”.

Anhui Memories was selected for the display in “Picturesque Landscapes: The 2014 National Exhibition of Life Painting Works”

The artist participated in the “Ten Years in Dafen” Creation Contest of Oil Paintings and won the silver medal.

Breezes on the Path was displayed in the “Face-to-face Oil Painting Exhibition by Prominent Artists”.

2015

Ancient Charms won the golden prize in the Yangjiang Art Exhibition of “My Chinese Dream”.

Ancient Town was displayed in the “Taishanzhizun” National Exhibition of Chinese Traditional and Oil Paintings, hosted by the China Artists Association.

Gate Tower: Cantabile Years was exhibited in the 9th “Silk Road and Splendid Gansu” Western China National Exhibition of Chinese Oil Paintings, hosted by the China Artists Association.

Cantabile Years I was displayed in the National Exhibition of Oil Paintings of Wu Guanzhong Art Gallery, hosted by the China Artists Association.

Gate Tower: Warm Sun won a silver medal in the Shenzhen Art Exhibition. His work Village Romance won bronze in the same exhibition.

Cantabile Years II was displayed in the 13th “Joint Art Exhibition of Art, Calligraphy and Photography” organized by the Guangdong Artists Association and the Department of Culture in Guangdong Province, where it was awarded a merit.

Gate Tower: Warm Sun was displayed in the 12th “Shenzhen Autumn Art and Calligraphy Exhibition”, where the work won a gold medal.

Historical Vestiges: Old Shenzhen was selected for the 11th “Exhibition of Paintings of Shenzhen by Shenzhen Artists”, where it was awarded a merit.

Sunshine after Rain was displayed in “Impressions of Wuyi: the 1st National Exhibition of Oil Paintings by Youth Artists”. His work won the top award.

Historical Vestiges: Old Shenzhen was displayed in the 4th “National Exhibition of Oil Paintings by Youth and Middle-age Artists”, hosted by the China Artists Association. The work won the merit award, taking first place nationally.

2016

In January, the artist organized the Spring Collection of Essential Art Works / Exhibition of Oil Paintings by Five Artists, hosted by the Shenzhen Artists Association.

His work Fishing Years was selected for “Silk Road: Ink along Wei River”, the 1st National Exhibition of Chinese Oil Paintings, hosted by the China Artists Association.

Fishing Years II was exhibited in “Rediscovery: the 12th Exhibition of Paintings of Shenzhen by Shenzhen Artists”, hosted by the Guangdong Artists Association.  His work Historical Vestiges: Ancient City was also displayed in the same exhibition.

Cantabile Years: Ancient Town was displayed in the “National Exhibition of Oil Paintings”, hosted by the China Artists Association.

In 2016, Historical Vestiges: Ancient City was exhibited in the 2nd “Building Dream in Union” National Ethnic Art Biennial, hosted by the China Artists Association.

The Years Gone was selected for the 5th “National Exhibition of Oil Paintings by Youth and Middle-age Artists”, hosted by the China Artists Association.

2017

Historical Traces: Old Shenzhen was selected for the 6th “National Exhibition of Oil Paintings by Youth and Middle-age Artists”.

Afterglow won the Excellence Award at the 3rd “Pilgrimage to Dunhuang” National Art Exhibition.

2018

Landscapes About to Disappear · Warm Sun was selected as a “Visual Poem” in the 3rd National Exhibition of Oil Landscapes and was also selected for the 7th “National Exhibition of Young and Middle-aged Artists” in Dafen.

2019

Old District Impression was selected for the 13th “Chinese National Art Exhibition”.

His oil painting Seda Impression was selected for the 8th “National Exhibition of Young and Middle-aged Artists” in Dafen.
